Volunteers are key players at New Horizons Service Dogs and the back bone of our organization!! This program is designed for short or long term-term volunteering to meet school requirements, court-ordered service or just a way for your family to get involved and pay it forward. Start a tradition: Come volunteer by yourself, with your family, or with a community of friends. Set up a group volunteer day: Organize your business, club, school, or church to come and help!
ON- SITE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: Puppy watch, dog care and enrichment, office help, special projects, group volunteer days, transporting, facility improvements.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – STATEWIDE
- Promoting and organizing events
- Asking for gift or in kind donations
- Writing grants, graphic design, web site design, photography
- General maintenance, construction, organizing or just helping out
- Puppy raising, Prison Pup Raising, Breeder Caretakers
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties
- Weekend furloughs
- Spay/neuter (after care – 1 day to 1 week fostering)
- Weekend Prison Pup Socialization
- 30-day short term prison pup socialization
- Transporting – ie: to vets, from Miami/West Palm, Prison Weekends from Pahokee, etc.
Help us organize donation drives and 3rd party fundraisers: Collect items from our wish list or raise money with a fun event. Join us as a regular volunteer or foster. There are many ways to help and our scheduling is flexible
